MAROONS YOUTH PROGRAM
We want girls to have to opportunity to play lacrosse at any age. Because of this, we have a few feeder teams for Elementary and Middle School age girls. Please reach out to us if your daughter would like to play lacrosse! We encourage all girls who are looking for a home, to try girls lacrosse, the fastest growing sport in the nation. Our staff is dedicated to fostering the growth of the game.
There are two registration periods:
Fall Ball (October - November)
OPEN NOW! Regular Season (January - May)
Senior + Juniors
Middle School
Schools include O'Henry, Martin, & Small
Senior Team (7th and 8th Grade)
Junior Team (5th and 6th Grade)
Lightning + Bantam
Elementary School
Schools include Barton Hills, Bryker Woods, Casis, Mathews, Oak Hill, & Zilker
Lightning (3rd and 4th Grade)
Bantam (1st and 2nd Grade)
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
If your daughter has a physical on file for another sport for the 2023-2024, and there are no changes to health, you do not need to submit a new physical. If she is new to OHMS, but not to AISD, we will accept your 2023-2024 physical and there no changes to her health. Lastly, if she is new to OHMS and AISD then she will need to submit a physical in order to begin practicing with the team.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Financial assistance is available through application. Scholarships are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and are subject to available resources and a joint decision by the President and Treasurer of the Austin High Girls’ Lacrosse Booster Club, which oversees and administers the AYL / OHMS Girls’ Lacrosse Team. Applications will be closed on the 20th of February.
